On Friday we went to Marylebone station. We met the Station master and walked around the station. We looked at all the shops and then we collected our tickets from the ticket office to get on the train.

We had a great time and Dave the train driver was very pleased to see us. He has promised to come and visit our class stations.



Dave the train driver showed us how to drive a train. It was great fun.


The mums had a great time pretending to travel on the train too.

Welcome to the new term. This term Reception are learning about spring and Transport. To celebrate spring we went to Regents park to look at all the changes that have taken place since winter. Here are some pictures from our trip. We had a lovely time with lots of sunshine!!!

Wow!!! what an end to the term. Today has been a great success, everyone had a great time making their easter baskets. A big thankyou to all the parents that came to help their children deocorate their baskets. Everyone had a great time and I don't mean just the children. Have a great break and see you all next term.

To finish off our topic of Breakfast around the world Zahra's mummy and Aqib's mummy came in to talk about Bangladesh. We tasted some lovely parathas. We looked at the flag from Bangladesh. We also learnt about the national costumes. Aqibs mummy taught us how to count up to 10. Red Nose Day in Reception. What a fun day we have had today, thankyou to everyone for making such an effort to dress up and raise money for charity. Recption had a fashion show, we really enjoyed walking up and down the catwalk, Miss Amelia decided to join us from the nursery too.

On Wednesday Rayan's mummy came in to talk to us about Lebanon. We tasted Lebanise breakfast which was yummy. We also listened to Lebanise music and Rayan showed us how to dance the Lebanise style. Youssef Rasheed counted to 10 in arabic and so did some other children. Thank you Rayan and Mummy.




Counting to 10 in arabic, we can all count now!! Rayan's mummy is a good teacher.


Miss Shayma and Miss Candice enjoyed tasting the vegimite toast. Why don't you have ago at some vegimite toast at home and come and tell us what you think.

This week we travelled to Australia with Miss Doyle, Miss H and Miss Pernham. It was very exciting, we learnt about the koalas' and the Kangaroos. We also tasted vegimite toast. Which was interesting. We used google earth to see the street Miss H lives in back home and it is very different to ours.









Handa visited us last week from the story Handa's surprise, we had a great time learning about all the different fruits that she put in her basket. We made fruit salad and acted out the story. Miss H and Miss Candice are very good at balancing the basket on her head.

We traveled to Somalia on Monday with Faisa and her mummy, We tasted pancakes and sugar which is what they have for breakfast in Somalia. Thankyou Faisa and mummy for coming in and telling us all about Somalia.










This week we traveled to Kurdistan with Rania and her mummy, we tasted pitta bread with cheese, olives, honey and stuffed vine leaves. We had a great time. Thankyou Rania's mum and Rania.
