The Lollipop lady

This week our Lollipop lady Miss Victoria came in to talk to us and tell us all about what she does. Miss Victoria does a very important job. She helps us cross the road safely every morning and at the end of the day. Miss Victoria has a very bright coloured uniform so that all the cars can see her, when she stands in the middle of the road to stop them.

Thankyou Miss Victoria for coming in to talk to us. Thankyou for helping us cross the road.

Book week

Wow!!! what a start to book week. Hiawyn Oram came to visit us today. She read us some poems which we acted out. She then read Angry Authur to us. We talked about what makes us angry, and whether it was good to get angry.

Red class also had lots of questions for Hiawyn Oram. She was very happy to answer our questions.

We would like to thank Hiawyn Oram for coming to our school. We would also like to thank Miss Wagner for arranging book week.

Look out for the next blog because we have lots more fun things planned in Reception for Bookweek.

On Monday the Community Police officers came to visit us. We had a great time talking to them. We learnt about what they do and why they wear a uniform.
We even got a chance to try on their uniforms and use their police radios.
We would like to thank Amit and Mia for their time.
On Wednesday we went to visit Church Street Library. We listened to a story and choose our own books to bring back to school. We had a great time.
We would like to thank the mums who came on the trip with us and helped us on the roads. Maybe next time we will have some dads come too.
